Laurel Dunn Lorenz, PhD is passionate about science (particularly viruses and cancer), communication, and education. She studied Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University and received her PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Wisconsin Madison. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Yale University.

Laurel was born in New Haven, Connecticut and has lived in a number of cities – Denver, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bern, Switzerland; Montreal, Canada; and Madison, Wisconsin. Most recently she returned to New Haven, Connecticut where she works at the Yale Stem Cell Center.
